    • They shepherd, guard, teach, and lead by example.
  • Character Before Competence
    • Scripture emphasizes integrity, faithfulness, and maturity.
    • Giftedness without character endangers the flock.
  • The Church as Pillar and Ground of the Truth
    • The church guards and proclaims sound doctrine.
    • Leadership protects the church from false teaching.
  • Spiritual Authority and Servant Leadership
    • Authority is for building up, not controlling.
    • True leaders reflect the humility of Christ.
