    INTRODUCTION

What Is the Church, Really? Rediscovering God’s Design

In every generation, the word church carries different meanings. For some, it’s a building. For others, it’s a Sunday event. For many, it’s a denomination, a livestream, or a religious brand.

But Scripture paints a far richer, deeper, and more powerful picture.

    The Church is:

    • A people called out by God
    • A body formed and held together by Christ
    • A community shaped by the Spirit
    • A family on mission
    • A bride being prepared for glory

This 8‑part series is designed to help us rediscover the beauty, purpose, and power of the Church according to Scripture — not culture.

Over the next several weeks, we will explore:

    • What the Church is
    • Why the Church gathers
    • How the Church is led
    • How the Church is sanctified
    • How the Church is sent
    • Where the Church is going

Whether you are new to Restorers Church or have been walking with us for years, this series will strengthen your understanding of God’s design and deepen your love for His people.

    Let’s begin the journey.
